Privacy
We count visits with Google Analytics 4, and only after you agree. Until you answer, nothing is loaded and nothing is sent anywhere. If you say no, the site works exactly the same.
What we get from it is how many people read which pages. Google's advertising signals are switched off (ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization, google_signals), so your visit is not linked to your Google account.
You can change your mind whenever you like: the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page asks the question again.
Your choice of light or dark theme and of language is stored in your own browser and never leaves your device.
The map loads background tiles from OpenFreeMap, which receives your IP address as any web request does.
This site is registered with Google Search Console, which tells us which searches bring people here. That data is already aggregated: it identifies no one.
The person responsible for this site and for any data mentioned here is identified on the Contact page.

Same idea, other landscapes: field atlases built on open data, month by month, in seven languages.
